The Whale & The Waltz Inside of It Poster Series
These posters draw from the themes and tropes of the poem The Whale & The Waltz Inside of It by Ada Limón from her book Bright Dead Things.
I wanted to experiment with type in these. To me, Limón’s poem described the balance of life. Each poster is built on a theme that she writes on. The first is about the land. The second: immigration (and the desire to go back to one’s old home). The third is about the water and its ebb and flow. Also, apparently whales go back and forth from the water and beach to hunt? So cool.
